We just use normal blue toilet tablets from any supermarket, dissolved in a bottle of water

Hello Shannon and Lisa, I'm a big fan of your work! I wanted to ask about CB radio communication. While traveling from Yass to Wee Jasper, we had a close call with a truck that was on the wrong side of the already narrow, winding road. We have a CB radio in our motorhome, but I'm unsure about the proper lingo to communicate with trucks on a specific road. I know it's channel 40. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi Julia, nothing too formal on CB's, perhaps something like, "Got a copy in the blue Woolworths truck heading south? We are the motorhome you just passed. Just letting you know that you have a loose strap on your trailer"....or whatever it is that you want to say. 9 out of 10 truck drivers have their CB on, and it'll be channel 40. Hope this helps

Is there a reason you went for the KLR as opposed to something smaller and lighter like a WR250

I do a lot of adventure bike riding with friends, so I take the bike with me on our motorhome. Our recent 3,000 km bike trip through the Simpson Desert and the Flinders Ranges (carrying a LOT of gear, food, water, and fuel sustainable for 12 days) just isn't possible on a 250. I mean, I guess you could do it, but it'd be hard.

Yes definitely diesel the way to go. Lots of torque and good economy

Why does everyone have a sheet or curtain dividing the cab to the living area

In a motorhome, once you've parked up for the day, there's no point in heating up or cooling down a truck cab all day and night when not in use. Ads privacy too
