​@@jettav88if I recall the ceiling heights on this house were 9, 11, and 13 feet and they had several different staggers in the ceiling throughout the main level. My crew did the entire basement, another crew did the upstairs so I'm not 100% but those stick out to me. This house was so big we had to split it to get it done in time for the parade!

​@@andresfresa123 I was one of the finish carpenters on this build and I do know for a fact that these things were brought up, especially in the entry and long hallway going from the entry to the master bedroom. The owners made the final call and they send the checks. They wanted the 8 foot arched doors and 9 foot cased openings to make the hallway seem taller and wider. Other than that small detail, what else was wrong with it? I am a licensed finish carpenter with a keen eye and 75% of the time I can persuade a client to change a look, but the other 25% is just doing what they want.

My jaw is on the floor! This house from the street view is a cozy and inviting and then you go in and it's like wayfinding through an airport! It's massive!! Absolutely stunning work MC!!! You know that scene in the movie Contact where Jodie Foster is whizzing around the universe and stops and cries, "No words. They should have sent a poet."? That's me right now. I am low key crying for the person who'll have to clean that gorgeous primary shower tough 😂 Amazing!

I find absolutely nothing that could have been done better. The butler's pantry was spectacular as was the master bath. Everything was simply first rate. Bravo to the builder and the designer.

I was 1 of the 7 finish carpenters on this job, I think we get some cred too! 😎🤣 it's all just work to me in the end, but this one was laid out and planned awesome and something you can look back on. Actually starting another one for the same builder at the end of next week. Similar finishes where every room has something going on, isn't in the parade though.

Great video I absolutely loved touring this house. FYI: I spoke with the builder and the home alone cost $400 per square foot, so 13,080 sq ft x $400 = $5,232,000 for the house + $400,000 landscaping + lot price, which he didn’t disclose.

His total budget was $8M and they came in right under budget, if that tells you anything about the land price being at the mouth of the canyon right there. I was one of the finish carpenters that did the inside on this house. There were 2 crews and my crew did the whole basement. The golf simulator was amazing to build and the shiplap ceiling in the great room was over 1500sq ft alone. Each space between the beams was 14 feet, it doesn't look like they're that far apart on camera but it was massive. It was an awesome project and I'm glad people appreciate the work. The basement alone was 5 weeks and we showed up 2 weeks later than the crew upstairs.

Wow, loved this home! But it made me wonder - after watching countless videos of these kind of tours - Who's buying these massive mansions? Just how many ultra mega wealthy people are out there? Even many celebrities on the AD channel home tours don't live this extravagant. Just imagine what the property taxes are like, plus, you'd need a staff to keep up the inside and outside. But yeah, if I could, I would!

Thanks! The plans for custom homes like this are the property of the home owner and the architect can’t reuse or sell them. You’d have to have the architect draw your plans to fit your property.

You never put a washer and dryer in the same area as your clothes. That is a big “no no”. No matter how careful you try to be, it deteriorates your clothes and can cause mould. That needs to be fixed.

People dont realize the beauty of this home belies a terrible trap of maintenance, care, and huge expense that balloons quickly. These parade houses will own their owners. If you buy into high maintenance items housing, cars, boats, companies, and trophy spouses, it doesn't just cost you money (affordability), it cost you time from your life, aggravation, stress, mental health, relationship quality, isolation, and even other options. Your choices create new choices. And this kind of life creates a silo-ed life.
