Take notes! Notice matts simply movement in rondo drill. Simply sidestepping to create a better angle with an open body shape to play the next pass. Too many players either stay still or move too much and waste energy. Simple yard or two sidestep every couple seconds makes a bit difference. Also note mates movement on the passing drill, starting long then dropping off to receive the ball, if there was a defender especially in the where you professional level have no space or time simply pulling the defender away then dropping off creatives a half second of valuable time to receive the ball. Also analyse matts movement in the little match with the gates. Also sometimes he couldn’t actually receive the ball he managed to move the defender to open up small for his teammates although in a match you may not get a credit for these movements a scout will definitely see it. Sometimes you can be so good you don’t even need to have the ball to help your team. Don’t just watch the video. Okay if you are just watching it for fun that’s fine but if you want to go pro or progress in football actually study and analyse every detail in every video don’t just watch think “oh these are some cool drills” Matt is professional for a reason these simply, easy habits he does naturally is one of the reasons he’s make it to the level he has. So yeah don’t just watch these videos for entertainment if you want to improve really focus on everything Matt does on ad off the ball, if you can do that and put it into practice you will make it! “Football is played with your Brain, your feet are just tools” Thank you Matt for these lessons!:)

@@brainhax6758 It's to practice long passing and first touch. The pair that controls their ball nearest the cone wins a point. First pair to 5 wins. The pass needs to be very accurate and flighted correctly (lofted with back spin) to set up the cushioned first touch.

Im currently injured, infant I fractured my fibula, I got very lucky not to shatter it. You never think its going to happen to you until it does. The break has not only massively effected my football, but my life outside of football. Its hard to do thing for yourself when you have a broken leg. Even the little things. you feel pretty hopeless when it doesn't feel like its not getting better either. I was in the best form of my life working as hard as I could everyday. Im currently doing physio however I feel I have rushed my recovery, and that my pain in my bone will never go away, but hopefully thats just physiological. Anyway, all I'm saying is I'm fortunate to not have had it worse, and you never know when its going to happen to you, so therefore work as hard as you possibly can, be as positive, motivated, committed, determined as you can, because you never know when your times up.

Audacious Soccer I get questions like this a lot. To be honest, there is no right or wrong answer. There are wayyy to many variables that go into your development. Quality coaching, amount of playing time, quality of teammates, quality of training sessions, etc. Unfortunately, you are the only one who can truly decide which path will be better for you. Think about all the variables, then go with your gut instinct and don’t look back.

Hey Matt, I have a personal trainer. He is a 100-200 m sprinter. I lift 2-3 times a week. He says, lifting more than once a week makes me slow and I should work on 1-3 rep range,5-20 rep range bad for you. But I’m disagree with him.Why do you lift 5-6 times a week in Germany? And why you work on 7-15 rep range? Especially hypertrophy style training and if you show me some studies that’d be awesome ( I watched your Speed/Weigthlifting videos)
@anthonylong90676 жыл бұрын
Burak Çakıl it’s different for a sprint runner compared to a footballer. So i think lowering your reps using heavier weights should be beneficial.
@BecomeElite6 жыл бұрын
Burak Çakıl Depends completely on your goals with your workout program. I was doing hypertrophy during the period of my life I wanted to gain muscle and size. I’ve gone through periods of my life with lower rep workouts focused on power and explosion when I’ve wanted to focus on increasing speed. Now I workout 6 times a week doing higher reps and more pRehab exercises cause I’m maintaining and attempting to prevent injuries. I’m not training to increase speed or become more powerful, I’m focused on different goals so my training is reflecting that.

I just finished my last high school season and I played RB the first three seasons and eventually got moved to CDM but I think something coaches really like is just talking and communicating well with your CBs and your midfielders. In the back you get to see everything so little things like just telling a guy to turn helps. Also depending on the formation at the right opportunities overlapping your RM and whipping in a cross helps grab your coaches attention. Best of luck!

I need help, when I play for my high school team I am one of the best and I never get nervous and I have fun playing. When I go play for my club team, I know that most of the kids are either as good or better than me and I don't know why I get super nervous and play worse than I know I can. I have tried everything to stop it, but it always happens, then I get depressed because I play trash. It's even apparent in my personality, when in my high school team I always talk and I'm not shy, but then when it comes to club I get shy around the kids and never open my mouth. It's at the point where I dread practice and games. If you could help me i'd appreciate it.
