Full Truck Restoration 2003 SCANIA 164L V8

What's it like restoring a 19 year old SCANIA 164L V8 480? Well i found out for myself over 2 year's ago as i checked out one undergoing a huge amount of restoration work. Now that all this work is completed let's see how the finished truck has turned out.

Something i would've done while refurbishing a v8 Scania is replace the O-rings and gasket on the oil cooler, aswell as pressure test the oil cooler (the one thats in the center of the V) It's notorious for springin' a leak and filling oil in the coolant.

Got give a big ups to these guy for the attention to detail and quality of the work on this truck. Good to see something that will have earned the owner a lot of money being restored to its former glory. It had had a hard life! I always thought the carry over of the 3 series dash, steering wheel and switches was a clever idea as Scania drivers are quite particular and the new 4 series cab had a bit of an 'Oh I don't know' feel about it. I owned a Topline 113 / 360 6 x 2 tag axle (after a 110 and a 112) and it was just a magnificent owner drivers truck. Sadly the last Scania I owned as I went over to MAN as I hauled for them out of Swindon. Good one Stavros! 👏👏
