This will in sequence make properties more affordable, effectively causing rent and housing cost to plummet. Therefore your rent should NOT go up during Trump's term as president. Although there will be an increase in price in foreign goods because he will be raising taxes on foreign companies making BILLIONS of dollars off US consumers. The border should be the least of your worries. We now have a convicted felon as president. Sorry to say this, but the president cannot control prices. My landlord just tripled my rent and there is nothing any President can do about that. Will Trump come speak to my landlord? My flood insurance policy for floods and hurricanes also tripled and there is nothing any president can do about that. There is something called rent control but Republicans are against that and only strong democratic states have rent control. Doctors are charging outrages prices for just two minute visits and is Trump going to do anything about it? And when Trump finally manages to do away with Obamacare how will those with pre existing conditions get health insurance. Obamacare helped me get insurance when before I could not. Trump always says he has a new Health Care Plan but he never produces it. It is big money controlling the country and prices as well as rent....not the President whoever that may be.
