Yeah +1. I watched a bunch of the cross and saw an authenticity. Via ChatGPT, for manslaughter (crime of passion) the key points are... Provocation: The defendant must have been provoked. Heat of Passion: The provocation must have been such that it would cause a reasonable person to act rashly, without due deliberation, and from passion rather than judgment. No Cooling Off Period: There must not have been a sufficient cooling off period between the provocation and the killing for the person to regain their composure.

He wasn't "provoked" by anyone. He installed an app on his daughter's iPad so he could listen in on what was happening in his estranged wife's apartment, which is a massive invasion of privacy. Through HIS OWN ACTIONS, he heard a man's voice. He then decided to grab his gun, get in his car, drive to her apartment and kill her and her friend.
