He's not going to be short of kindling for quite a while, after this! The only thing I'd worry about is damp and mould, with a stream running through the caves. The clay-lined log BBQ was very ingenious, and I liked the log floor. A good way to try to insulate.

Should of kept the shells and cooked them in a quick mud kiln until white and used them in bricks in a new mud kiln and fired them new bricks with the dissolved shells and you would of had fire bricks for the next kiln and it would of been permanent
