Right? It’s a trick many defendants use to look meek and mousy, but it’s pretty obvious that it’s a ploy to look more innocent. Jodie Arias did the same thing - she committed her crime as a bleach blonde, but by trial time her hair was mousy brown and she was wearing glasses. As if that was going to help her look less guilty!
