So seeing the FULL interview, it wasn’t as bad as it looked with just getting 30 sec sound bites. He did talk (although DEFINITELY not in the most eloquent way) about prison reform, eliminating stop and frisk in Chi, problems with the 13th amendment, etc. Although I respectfully disagree with some things he said that misrepresented black people (particularly regarding welfare). But he’s just speaking like a right leaning moderate. Our ancestors fought and died for us to have freedom of speech, so I honestly can’t get mad at him for speaking his mind.
