7:18 collapsed I was tapping (EFT,Emotional Freedom Technique) in the crowd during the Galaxia Temple Burn ... I invited my 5yo self along for the ride, "thank you for protecting us as best you knew from things that scared you, the older version has more tools, more friends, more perspective ti get closer to the fire without self destruction! You can relax now, you got us to age 6 and so in, we're not rejecting you, we're all ghosts welcoming you along for the journey! We have cancer now also and not really so worried about being "careful" as it's abundantly clear we're not getting out of this adventure alive, so let's rock this ride, together! Damn the torpedoes, Full speed ahead!" ... And as I completed a round of tapping, that's when it collapsed! At 7:18 ...

the way the camera tries to compensate for the contrast between the light and dark makes the fire look like a video game effect at times. or maybe that's just the effects of the KZbin compression. how long did it take to fully burn out?
@terryan85216 жыл бұрын
I just wanted to capture and document all the details of the fire. I just put best video capture machine and I adjusted ISO down from 8000 to 2000. from the start of the fire to open a perimeter takes exact 1hour 15min. Do you want rest of the video?
@terryan85216 жыл бұрын
I think I get what you talking about, yes, in Original raw video, there is a lot of noise, but it is 4k video, so we hardly recognize small dots of noise, while we watching. I just wanted to minimize the loss of realness (to maximising of vision data) so, I just put my raw file on youtube. But as we can see the dark area shows big chunk of square shape poor gradation. think this is the youtube codec that compresses all raw video data to the efficient way of internet transmitting This is the best way I got so far. (maybe... If I get through some color correction... might gets better...)

The people in charge dropped the perimeter after an hour and a half, or thereabouts.

Hi @Terry An - I just made a podcast with the architect of this temple (Arthur) and plan to release it soon...I would love to include some of this footage when he talks about the temple. It is a non-commercial thing and I will give you full credit. Would that be ok?

Hi Terry. This looks great! Thanks for capturing it. I'm cutting a video about my BM experience and would love to be able to use no more than 5 seconds of this video with credit given to you. If not, no problem, but thought I'd ask. :)

Why is it so quiet? Where's everybody, where's the music?
@sanell62 жыл бұрын
The temple (there is one at every Burning Man just with a different design) is always burnt in silence. Throughout the week people make little memorials/shrines inside to people that have passed or leave behind their own painful/sad stories and experiences. So the burn of the temple at the end of burning man is very symbolic and does not include all the music, lights and revelry of the other burns.
@claycook5773 Жыл бұрын
Despite the reputation and most of the videos posted here, Burning Man is NOT just a week of sex, drugs and rock and roll. That reputation probably attracts a certain demographic, but also likely repels another one. You would have to attend to understand fully. Sometimes it's a party, sometimes it's tears.

@@mikearmstrong999 not assuming. It's pretty clear by your ignorant statement that you don't have the capacity to understand what the Temple is and why it's so amazing. Not assuming you wouldn't get. I'm positive you wouldn't.

Saying it's a waste of resources assumes that it's not built and burnt for a purpose that outweighs those resources.
