Do you know if this steering wheel would would with project cars 1?
@LazerboltVids2 жыл бұрын
Great question. It made me curious so I popped onto Steam and snagged Project Cars1 on sale for $4.50 and gave it a try. Good news! it works like a champ. There's no preset configuration for it, so just set up a custom wheel profile and bingo! Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!

@Lvxid I've never played Assetto Corsa, but the R270 wheel has worked perfectly for every racing/driving game that I have tried it on. My gut instinct is to say yes, it should work. Thanks for watching!

Hi, thank you for the video, how did you connect it to the oculus
@LazerboltVids2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tirdad, I play wirelessly using the built in (although still on the experimental tab) "Airlink". Once your headset is connected to your pc through Airlink, navigate to the "monitors" tab at the bottom so you can see your desktop. Then launch the game through Steam. When prompted, select the option to "launch Project Cars 2 in Oculus vr mode" and you're ready to play. I hope this helped, and thanks for watching!

I’m using quest 2 with link cable trying to play AC but it seems like it only works 1/10 times, usually i plug it in and nothing comes up to click on, i replug and rarely it will pop up “enable” option. I connect and it disconnects in under 1 minute. Rarely it lets me play AC in VR and it is playable with minimal lag but other times it is too laggy to play. Why is it inconsistent?
@LazerboltVids3 ай бұрын
I have no idea why some people (including me) have so much trouble with a link cable. That's why I use Virtual Desktop to connect to my PC. Link Cable and Airlink has given me nothing but problems.

Would this work stand-alone? like am i able to plug it into my headset and play or do i need to download other stuff on steam or something?
@LazerboltVids Жыл бұрын
No, the wheel needs to be plugged into a PC. But it should work just fine for any PC driving game, including PCVR driving games.

Hello, I have a gaming PC wish I mostly use for racing games and flight simulators. (Assetto, MS Flight, Automobilista, etc.). Half of my games are VR compatible so I bought an Oculus Quest 2 but I haven't figure out how to use the quest as a VR monitor for the games on my pc. I can play the Steam and Oculus games that I installed on the Quest but I haven't figure out how to use it for the games that I already had on my pc. If I connect the Quest to my pc, I can see the Quest pc interface but I'm stuck there. Would you please help me with this? I just want to use the Quest as my monitor instead of the 3 flat monitors that I currently have. I don't mind if I have to use the Link cable for this to work. I will appreciate if you can give me a hand with this. Thanks, Milton
@LazerboltVids2 жыл бұрын
Hi Milton, thanks for watching. I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but I believe there are 2 possible answers. First thing is to connect the Quest to your pc using AirLink (it sounds like you have done this already). In the bottom right you will see a tab called "Monitors" that will have each of your monitors listed. These will allow you to see a flat 2d representation of your monitors in VR. If you want a true 3d VR experience, and you have the game on Steam, you just launch the game from the Steam app while in AirLink. For non-Steam games: If the game is compatible with the Quest or Rift, follow the above steps and navigate to the title in question using the "monitor tab" in the headset and launch it from there. This works for most titles I have tried. But for a few of them (like Elite Dangerous) I had to visit the individual company's websites to install the VR version of the game. Others, like MS Flightsim 2020 you simply toggle VR on and off while in game with a button press. Again, thanks for watching. I hope this helped you get up and running, If any part of this needs further clarification I'll be glad to help.

@@LazerboltVids so do you use the pc interface to use the steering wheel and use air link to run the game ? That's what I'm assuming. I got a quest 2 and just need steering wheel. I have a laptop so just want to make sure I'm getting it right before I invest in a steering wheel.
@LazerboltVids Жыл бұрын
@@skatj23 Correct. You need to connect the steering wheel to a PC or laptop, and then use air link to connect the quest two. Thanks for watching

how is the resolution of the game inside the goggles?
@LazerboltVids2 жыл бұрын
The Quest2 has some surprisingly good resolution for such a low price. It displays 1832 x 1920 per eye, running @120 Hz. This is better than even the MUCH more expensive Valve Index (1440 x 1600) While in game the graphics are crisp and colorful, and I don't have any trouble reading small text on speedometers or in game menus. It's a fantastic experience that I can't recommend enough. Thanks for watching!

do you need high specs to run project cars on pcvr
@LazerboltVids2 жыл бұрын
Any reasonably modern system should be able to run it just fine. Project cars 1&2 are both a few years old and not too demanding. I'm not sure what the minimum specs are, but I run Project cars 2 with all the graphics on full with my 6 core, RTX2060 system.
