Homie you wasn’t setting up the question for him to knock it down. You were flat out wrong and he corrected you. We are not still fighting for hip hop to be accepted as more than a fad. That was in the 90s. By the 2000s it was clear that this music is here to stay and only getting global. That’s why the powers that be all got their hands in it.

@@scienz yeah actually it *was* like the 80s. By mid 90s we had artist going multi-platinum with Billboard #1’s and international tours. Now we have 40-50yo hip hop heads doing the news & the weather. It’s *been* the most influential & most lucrative genre of music for a couple decades if not longer.
