The ironic thing is that Nas' Illmatic was one of the reasons rappers started working with various producers on the same album. And yet, after all these years, if Nas and Hitboy keep up this beautiful chemistry, it'll be a very strong argument for why it's probably better to stick with one producer. Full circle.

I spent years mixing songs for hip-hop Legends like Nas just to keep their legacy alive, but to see Nas genuinely keep his own name alive and in such an impeccable way, being revitalized by Hit-Boy man its truly the best thing. This successful fusion of an 90's era artist with a modern producer is an anomaly and seems destined. Can't wait to see what they create next.

It was alright…but you get the sense he was trying a little too hard to level up on Nas… Em has word play and a versatile delivery, and that’s what impresses people, but he don’t really have “substance”….think about it…after all the witty one liners he weaves together, what did that man really say?!
