Ian has decided to lower this VW Beetle 6 inches to get it to the ground and start radically modifying this beat up 1968 VW Beetle, but like most things that were once going to find the fate of the crusher, he once again proves you can do some amazing things in your garage with some imagination, fearlessness and a willingness to make mistakes as you create. 🥴
His fascination stems from the seemingly limitless customization opportunities for this vehicle. Join Ian on a wild ride through his mind 👽 as he envisions then fabricates his most radical ideas to date. 😎

I slow rolled past a mid 60's bug in oncoming traffic today. It looked like it was original paint, luggage rack, baby moons, slight nose down stance, and the guy driving looked like he may have driven it off the showroom floor. We don't fight the rust problem here and the bug looked super straight. I was more than just a little jealous! Really glad to see you two in a new video today. I was needing a fix.

Hello Ian. I'm a big fan. Just wanted to give my 2 cents about the fuel problem on the quad. Seems to me the float is sticking in the down/open position after the fuel runs out and it sits for a while. When riding it the float is constantly moving so it doesn't have time to stick. Love your work!! Keep it up. 🤘

I fought the same problem with a carb and finally a guy helped me ... he polished the seat of the needle with some valve lashing compound. It worked !

Love Jamie and the show! Regarding your carburetor issue on the ATV… It’s most likely float level adjustment, when you replace the needle and seat, sometimes gets a little shorter a little taller, and you may need to adjust the float height if the floats are able to allow too much gas into the carburetor. It’s going to pour out the overflow. Other than that I’d say crud on the needle… There’s one other issue that I’ve seen mostly on Hondas where the brass tube that comes up from the float ball sometimes that is cracked it’ll have a hairline crack, running along the side of it that’ll cause a leak through the overflow tube as well, but based on what I saw and you were able to tap the carb to make it shut off, it’s going to be needle and seat related and most likely your float level
