maybe its because i am a younger brother but i think he could have done better with verse 2. in the other translations ive seen its ed directly talking to his brother and wondering why he stays loyal after all hes put them through. In caleb's version its about how ed puts so much on himself and how much pain hes in because of it.

That's actually how I learned of Caleb too! So when I came from the brilliantly hilarious kind of song that that was to find all of the Metal, anime/game soundtrack, Disney, etc. song covers that he did, I was kind of quite surprised, but pleasantly so.😻💖 And now I'm completely addicted to Calebs songs and covers! And Caleb himself is awesome! As the son of a single father who was heavily addicted to crack cocaine, I spent a huge chunk of my life blaming myself. It was my fault that he was addicted to cocaine. I can't believe I only just now found this video. It's so good. I've seen other English covers of this song and was less than impressed with their translations and tempo, but you managed to make the lyrics fit beautifully without needing to force it by drawing out syllables or mashing words together and making it sound awkward. Watching FMAB for the first time and I just found this and I have to say. IM SHOOK. (And not like Winry in the OP) I've heard you sing before. But this, THIS was something else. The fact that you managed to sing so dang FLAWLESSLY at such a fast pace without passing out is a miracle in itself (must've cost you an arm or a leg). And don't get me started on those lyrics. "Wasting time and we're wasting our lives, trying to change what can never be changed". Dang. What I liked about the original song was that the rap didn't sound like most of the rap I've heard before(which sounds terrible), it sounds more like very fast singing. Not everyone is able to do that, and I'm glad you were able to.

I've always loved singing, always been good at it too. But depression and lack of self-confidence and self-esteem never pushed me to thrive and improve it. That changes today, my next singing goal is to be able to sing this. Thanks for the inspiration Caleb, you rock!
