​@rmp7400 I *really* need to pray for this Pope. I have difficulty doing so because of the chaos and destruction he has sown. I don't claim to know his heart; that is for God to judge, and God alone. But we are told that we will know a man by his fruits, and some of the fruit that has been produced during this papacy has been rotten. While I cannot know Francis' true intentions, he has made it quite easy to figure out his intentions in many instances. I guess I should clarify that I am able to pray for the conversion of Francis, but I've had to adjust my Morning Offering prayer by excluding the part where it says "and for the intentions recommended this month by the Holy Father," because I do not trust his intentions. I've amended that part of the prayer to requesting that the Shepherds of the Church may have the moral courage to stand up for what is good and righteous. Will you please keep me in your prayers so that I will be able to pray for Francis with ease? We all need prayers, obviously, but I need to set aside the actions and statements made by Francis so that I'm able to pray *for* him instead of being reluctant about praying for his intentions. Those criticisms started to vanish when I started doing my own research and not blindly accepting what every protestant said. The Catholic Church existed over a millennia before the first protestant church. Now there are over 40,000 protestant denominations and still only One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. I have never bowed down to a statue of Mary and kiss her feet. Are you aware in ancient times that Sunday actually begins Saturday evening. That is in the Bible and that is why there is Saturday evening Mass. Are you aware that both Martin Luther and John Calvin both believed in Marian dogma? Who, after Luther and Calvin, gave the protestant denominations the authority to change from that dogma? I can answer that! No one! That change was by man. You do not believe what the early Church fathers believed. This was long before Luther and Calvin. We have feast days for a lot of saints. What is wrong with celebrating them? I could criticize you the same for celebrating your birthday every year. Your birthday isn't in the Bible. You see how silly your argument is? There are people that have seen apparitions of Mary. That is the reason they have processions for her. Mary is very important in salvation history, although no tomb for her has ever been discovered. Do you think Jesus doesn't have the ability to take his mother into heaven to be with him? The Catholic Church has never stated that Mary is omnipresent or omnipotent. That is more stuff made up by protestants. Mary continues to abide in Jesus and in God, the Father. With that connection, you don't think she could hear the prayers of people? There are a lot of things in Christianity that remain a mystery, but we still believe in them. That is called faith. The Hail Mary prayer is taken from the Gospel of Luke. In order for something to be an idol, you must worship it. We do not worship Mary. That is another protestant lie.
