In my hands which are not nimble and definitely not delicate being an ex Building Site manual Labourer but watching you blissfully and gracefully caressing those strings is a sheer delight to watch and listen to I adore your passion for such Angelic soulful soothing music thank you for sharing as an absolute newbie I think I will start off with a Lyre Harp Plate until I feel confident enough to one day move up to the Harp

Hi - I'm a newbie with a Sharpsicle which I really like. I also got the metal stand because I'm an old arthritic guy so ergonomics are important. Tried using the Harp Stick and guitar strap, but couldn't get comfortable with it. The metal stand really turns it into a floor harp which works much better for me. Very comfortable and sturdy. I was thinking, if you don't like its appearance maybe a drape or some other covering could "hide" the stand but retain its function. But you play really well without it, so you probably don't need it. Thanks for the very informative review. Well done.

That's a really good idea and I hadn't thought of that! I bet the "official" stand would be more sturdy. Thank you 😊

I'm looking forward to the Fullsicle - Flatsicle comparison. I'm assuming these are single strung, although I am really wanting a double strung. Thanks for the videos. The information backed by your playing demos is very interesting. 🍃

For a minute there... I thought you were moving again. LOL. That is a cool looking harp for sure. I love that transparent blue finish. It sounds really good too. That reverb is just sa-weet! It seems like a winner to me.

@@MusicalMollyKhan I hate moving so much. When we moved to Texas I said we're just going to have to retire here cuz I can't handle moving across states ever again. LOL.

Congrats on your new fullsicle. I don’t if you saw my new harp over on the learning the harp page on FB that I posted but I bought a jolie. I didn’t go with the Ravenna after speaking with people who said that dusty strings doesn’t have the same warrantee so that was a red flag and I didn’t like that they use plastic on the sound box. So I went with a music makers Jolie harps. I had a\it custom made. You can also see my unboxing and a quick song over on my KZbin channel. But I used my phone to record and it just picks up the sound horribly. It gives everything the same volume which drives me nuts when I’m trying to get dynamics too! Ha. Boy what are you up to now, 9 or 10 harps? Or did you sell something?

I did see your post and posted some congratulations, but I know you got so many comments 😁 It really is one of the most beautiful harps I've ever seen, the colors you chose are so gorgeous. I think the Jolie is the perfect choice for you 😊

I bought a used Fullsicle harp a few years ago. The cases sold online are too expensive for my budget. I took an old hockey bag and I'm cutting it up to make a padded harp case. Using big jigsaw edged foam squares for the padded protection. I would never check a harp onto a plane as baggage and I wonder what others do if they need to travel with their harp. Anyone?

Would you say this is better than ravenna 26 string?

It sounds so beautiful :) If you don't mind me asking, how much does it cost?
@MusicalMollyKhan3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The total came to around $1550 with the curly maple, pickup installed, and wound bass strings 😊

Do the levers work well?
@MusicalMollyKhan3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Rees levers are my favorite among Robinsons, Lovelands, and Rees - I haven't ever tried Camacs or Truitts though :)
