This is not a very productive line. The MAMMUT multineedle lockstitch machine VM7, shown in this video, is at least 30 years old. The speed is about 1.000 to 1.100 rpm. A new MAMMUT nowadays works at 1.700 rpm. This means almost 70% more production as the carding machine can easily supply more filling.

this is a relatively efficient line, it is meant for the "easy" quilts. it would have been 3 times slower if the pattern was a box one but not the parallel. today, many machines work much too productive. if you can "sell" in the very first place, even a 30yr old machine can handle your production.

Sorry, but this is nonsense. A line which works at 60% speed of a new line is not efficient ! And a box pattern is half the production of a straight line pattern. This is easy to calculate.

mammutlo well the quilting is fast already... that is not a doubt. this line is worth investing if you supply ikea I guess. technically it seems like a box takes double time.. in reality it takes longer. I gues we alla konow that. I don't mean to argue... the system works.
