Good videos man. I am just catching up. My '02 Lightning is a true daily driver. Still want more power! I am on the fence for a Kenne Bell 2.6l supercharger or porting the oem eaton. I want to have between 550 and 600 RWHP. I already have a JLP shortblock and studded cnc oem heads, upgraded fuel pump and larger injectors. I also like the intercooler bricks you got. Have pretty much all the other stuff you have.

@DebtLife_Projects2 жыл бұрын
I can probably do that, new JCCustoms tank is coming soon, maybe I'll swap it for that. It's super easy though, one bolt to hold it in place, and hook up the two intercooler hoses, pretty much it
@franciscoflores27662 жыл бұрын
@@DebtLife_Projects i was wondering if you used the stock hoses that go to the mid plate and if you had to modify the lower hose because i think there’s another hose that goes to the radiator that’s in the way if i’m not mistaken?

DebtLife Projects , I know man. I know this is an old video, I just subscribed so I’m catching up. You’re inspiring me to resurrect my old Lightning, it’s been sitting dormant in my garage for years. I gotta ask you, why didn’t you go for the trick flow heads since you did the block? Was it the cost? Or, the dependability of the stock heads? The TFS heads are ridiculously expensive but are the worth it. What’s your opinion?
@DebtLife_Projects4 жыл бұрын
Jim Kalfakis I definitely appreciate ya subscribing and watching! 🤘 JDM Engineering actually prefers the PI heads over trickflow. They port them and build them, and they supposedly outperform the trickflows, with more reliability. I’ve also had a lot of friends have issues with their trickflows dropping valves. But I basically just went to JDM and told them what I wanted, and that’s what they built me.
@jimkalfakis98934 жыл бұрын
I’ll take that advice too, reliability is everything. Good show man, good luck and be careful out there.

When you installed that ice box you had to eliminate the windshield wash Reservoir?
@DebtLife_Projects3 жыл бұрын
This particular one yes, I never use it anyways. JLP sells an ice box with a built in reservoir for windshield fluid, the only drawback is the opening for the icebox is smaller because of that.

@@albertorivera2062 I am running JDM Engineering ported/built heads and stage 2 cams. I believe they use Romeo Heads and port and 5 angle machine the valve ports and all that. Not sure what their stage 2 cams are to be honest. But if you call Jim at JDM he can hook you up with whatever would be best for your needs. I bought the built longblock complete from them.

I have a 2002 Harley Davidson Supercharged. what modifications I have to saw the motor to have more power
@DebtLife_Projects5 жыл бұрын
Ricardo Perez best bang for your buck is pulley, intake, tune. Key is tune, make sure it’s good and from a reputable tuner. I prefer a dyno tune, in person. Id also suggest joining the forums on Facebook, a lot of guys to learn from and a lot of vendors and tuners. Extremely useful. Lightning garage is a good one, or just search lightning and Harley trucks and start joining lol
@bradbohen26155 жыл бұрын
To Upgrade the pulley you have to have an oil catch can/separater, & a tune. I have an 02 HD. 10" lower (+8lbs), ported polished SC, long tube headers, high flow cats, EGR delete, widemouth throttle body, upgraded injectors (not sure size) Accel high voltage coil packs, k&n filter. Needs upgraded tires, different cold air intake, possibly fuel pumps. Dyno. When it hooks it is sick! It's the only vehicle that ever scared me. I've had roush mustang, trans am, Vettes.
@bradbohen26155 жыл бұрын
If you change the lower pulley you can put the smaller lightning pulley on the SC. HD upper pulley is slightly bigger then lightning. So do a pulley swap (with oil catch can right side PVC breather on left side) a tune to start. You'll pick up 75hp give or take depends on what pulleys you pick.
@MrMr1235 жыл бұрын
Did you have to tune the transmission after the larger pulley?
@DebtLife_Projects5 жыл бұрын
Mr Mr I’m honestly not 100% sure. I did have the truck retuned for the extra boost, but I’m not sure if anything tranny wise was changed.
@rednekprofessor60002 жыл бұрын
I was told your belt is far too loose if you can remove it from the blower. The limiter should almost be maxed out and you load the belt by installing a lower idler. Otherwise Belt slip and RPms will fall off like crazy in the higher RPM range. This turned out to be true on the setup I have been running on my 2002 lightning.
@bradbohen26155 жыл бұрын
How much power does that add? 2lbs? I have a 02 f150 Harley Davidson. With a 10" lower. Obviously other light mods. But wondering how much the pulley added roughly. Please & thank you!
@DebtLife_Projects5 жыл бұрын
Brad Bohen for every 2lbs of boost you’ll get about 10-15 hp and 15-20 tq to the wheels, if you can keep the iat2s down and under control. That’s the biggest thing with spinning the stock blower hard, it becomes a heat pump so cooling mods are crucial to maintaining or gaining power

Yeah, you will need a belt lol. Metco motorsports has a belt chart for different pulley sizes. Is your motor built? Definitely wouldn’t run that on a stock block. Also going to need a lot of cooling mods, amount a lot of other supporting mods.

Pretty much just a rag, simple green, and some elbow grease. Once it’s all clean, I use some black trim detailer on all the black. I do that once every couple months or so. Once a week I pop the hood and just do a quick wipe with a micro fiber to knock the dirt off and check all my fluids and what not.
