Definitely cool setup. What are your IAT'S look like??
@DebtLife_Projects3 күн бұрын
IAT is pretty much at ambient when moving/doing a pull, IAT2 (after blower/boost) is between 140-150 at the end of a full, long pull, at 23psi. Back to back pulls doesn't heat soak either, 140-150 every time.

@@drick2659 I would need a lot more info, there's a lot of variables here. Like what plugs/what are they gapped to/what coils did you use? Did you confirm no leaks with a smoke test? When's the last time you pulled the supercharger off and cleaned the intercooler? Cleaned maf? Cleaned/replaced iac valve? Replaced O2 sensors? Ect.

First and foremost I really appreciate your response. First thing truck idles perfectly fine in revs perfectly fine when not under a load. New plugs tr6 32 gap. New cops. Motorcraft. Mass air is new. I've never replaced o2s. Did replace all the PC hoses even to the turkey pan. Shutters and Misses severely under a load it would probably have a hard time out running a Honda Spree. I replaced the porcelain relay that kicks the pump to 12 volts. I believe it's lean.? And forgot to mention it throws absolutely no codes.

I am pretty sure that most garages have floor vents to the outside by code and that would be an easier way to vent.
@DebtLife_Projects29 күн бұрын
@@curtisjohnson944 I've never seen a house with floor vents here, ever lol. If I had a better way, I would have. There are zero vents in this garage, no windows, no drier vents through the concrete block, nothing. Thus why I went up and out the soffit, which all these years later still works great.

I'm trying to figure out a solution for a portable AC unit in my garage but I've been mulling it over for about 2 years now. I have a concrete block wall I'd have to go through to add a direct vent outside and that doesn't seem like a practical solution. The only other options I can think of is to go through the ceiling like is shown here or I thought about cutting a vent directly into my garage door which I could cover with a magnetic cover when not in use, but then I'd have to connect the vent each time I used the AC and would have to remember not to disconnect it before opening the garage door.
@DebtLife_Projects2 ай бұрын
I thought about the garage door thing too, seemed like a pain though ( I open and close mine often). What I did here, has been working great for years now. Zero issues, set and forget

Hmmm, I have SD60s but a single DW400 fuel pump and I don't get above 80% DC at 20PSI. How do you have it set up to fuel once your load gets to 2?
@thastinger3453 ай бұрын
I'm set up pretty close to how you are but in a swapped 4x4 truck and a Whipple 2.9 I have a "93" tune that is 18PSI and 10.5 degrees and I have a "99" tune that is 20PSI and 16 degrees. I use boostane marine to get to 99 because I still have cats on the truck. I have a J&S Vampire, which is set to pull global timing vs individual cylinder timing, having one is crucial in these motors(I believe anyways).

That is wild to me that you can buy a 10K long block that DOESN'T have at least ARP 2K head studs.
@DebtLife_Projects3 ай бұрын
That was my thoughts too. Supposedly, gt500 bolts hold plenty power/boost, but idk, I feel like it shoulda been studded as they advertise, but that's just me.
@thastinger3453 ай бұрын
@@DebtLife_Projects I have a 13 GT500, it only makes 16PSI in factory form so thats what the bolts are designed to hold. Seems one would use studs and a matter of routine on an engine that expensive. I know if I had a shop, you wouldn't get an option, studs only, everyone turns up the pressure on these things eventually.

What happened to this motor? It was a built block wasn't it?
@DebtLife_Projects3 ай бұрын
not sure what exactly happened yet, but yup, built JDM longblock, coolant went into everything. Looks as if cats were extremely clogged, preventing alot of flow, and creating excess boost/pressure. Havn't cracked open the motor yet to look into things further though. Once we get it open, we will see what happened.
@thastinger3453 ай бұрын
@@DebtLife_Projects built with arp head studs etc? You switched to self tuning on this combo?
@SalesJDM3 ай бұрын
Shawn, looks like your cats were starting to fail or have, the one I can see in your video looks all plugged up. That could have been why you were making so much boost and could be the potential cause of your issue. The exhaust leaks at the collectors would have caused that to happen as you have cool air mixing with hot exhaust gases and it can melt the cat.
