You would need to do it via the Flex system, basically calculate the amount of flex required to achieve the power you want.

One other thing, you can fly in managed mode without a SID defined, you just won't have any hard altitude constraints. The FMGS will still calculate the estimated altitude you should be at when you reach each waypoint. You should see that to the right of the waypoint. Same with STAR.

Good video as usual, One thing You should turn on NAV lights once external power (Either EXT pwr or APU) is established. Beacon lights are for right before push back/engine start.

Hi Froogle. Great video as always. There is only one thing you missed (i think). The Airbus X doesn't automaticaly enter it's correct CG. It always defaults to 25.0 (As seen on the INIT B) This results in an incorrect stab trim on the PREF page (wich defaults to 0.8UP) resulting in incorrect v-speeds and so on. You can use the little printer at the end of the center pedestal to print out the loadsheet which should include the CG, or use TOPCAT to calcualte it (which is what i've been doing)

Hey Froogle, what if the STAR for the airport im flying is not the same as the last waypoint? (Eg. last waypoint is NOMAD, but there is no arrival for NOMAD nor a transition?)

Very nice videos and very good channel but there is one thing I don't understand, and that is Block fuel. By 'aerosoft Airbus X extended fuel planner', do you mean PFPX? because I have that and it's not giving me a number anywhere. Is it part of Topcat? maybe my Topcat isn't working. Just to get my head around what block fuel is, is it the total fuel on board in Tonnes? because if that's so, 9.3 Block fuel should be 9300kg on board. Im probably wrong and making myself look stupid but I really don't understand. Thanks for the help in advance

the Aerosoft Airbus comes with a fuel planner that will tell you how much you need. however you can use PFPX, and you will find your block fuel under 'Release Fuel' in your pfpx flight plan, which will be given in kg, but the Airbus only takes tonnes

Great introduction video for beginners such as me. Definitely made my decision to go for Airbus X, rather than a Boeing-which is also good :-) . Hi, I'm new to fsx and I'm just finding my way round. I've seen a lot of videos and a lot of them have amazing HD scenery and all, just got the simulator And I've adjusted most of my settings to higher values just to get the high res quality like in the video above, but everything still looks scrawny and basic. Is there anything I'm missing? Cos good graphics do add a lot to the flying experience. Thanks

oyadimet ujeka You get the look that you see in my videos you'll need to buy and install a lot of add-ons. Nearly all the videos use something called Orbx FTX Global, which replaces the scenery textures all over the world. I also nearly always use REX4 Texture Direct to change environmental textures (sky, clouds, water etc). Most of my FSX videos also use Shade to change the lighting and shading in the cockpits, and I also use something called nVidia Inspector to take handling of anti-aliasing etc out of the hands of the sim completely and do it better. Lots to learn I'm afraid, and no quick "Press this button to fix it" answers.

HI LOVE UR VIDEOS GOT A QUESTION! My A320 fly by wire works, EXCEPT THE BANK ANGLE. I am able to manually turn the aircraft beyond 30 degrees bank. Is this suppose to be right or is that a bug? Am I doing something wrong? SECOND PROBLEM IS I cant use the rudders on a320 I press the left or right rudder button and it doesnt respond. Why? Another QUESTION is on landing, if My speed is dangerously droppping, the first officer will yell "SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED" non stop until i fix issue. its really annoying how do I make him be quite? Please help ty.

Elites Engineering LOL its a know bug if u search it up. I actually spend $$$ and tis is the shit I gotta put up with. Maybe I shoulda just torrented one. LOL. AND BTW I JUST FOUND OUT. IN THE REAL A320, IF U JUST push the stick sideways, the aircraft will bank to even beyond the limit. HOWEVER if you let go of the stick, the aircraft automatically adjusts to a safe bank angle. That one wasn't a bug. :) Pls actually try to help instead of just accusing me of pirating cuz I bought mine.

It's not a bug. You can manually turn the aircraft to 60* or something like that and then it'll prevent you from going any further. I'm surprised you didn't know this, Froogle. But it still sounds like either you need to update it to the latest version or you pirated it. AND, don't disengage autothrottle and you won't have the speed issue :)

Oh and anoher tip. You don't have to manualy select AT on takeoff. You can just advance the levers to ~50% and then slam the throttles forwards to FLEX (well not slam but advance) which is the way it's done in the real cockpit

I think your management of the anti-ice only applies to the Wing-anti-ice. The engine-anti-ice is already turned on at +10 degrees C and moisture, at least it is a Lufthansa company-procedure.

my FMC uses the flight plan speed when I push the speed knob but that doesnt work with the altitude. i dont get the "managed dot" next to the alt. when i press the knob, its so frustrating. both speed and altitude are set in the flight plan -.-

The altitude won't be dashed on the AP whether in managed or selected mode. I don't think the dot appears when cruising but I could be wrong

Frooglesim, Great video thanks, a couple of requests if you don't mind. 1) tut on setting up nvidiainspector for FSX, I know how to select FSX default on inspector but I believe few items requires tweaks. 2) I have been fiddling with FSX for a couple of years now, and still experiencing crashes that I think are due to computer speed. I have a Lenovo Erazer i7 @ 3.6GHz, 12GB memory. I am thinking I need a second PC for REX, FTX, GSX. can you do a tut on linking two PCs ? much appreciated. :)
