So far as I know Favorit is a make of bicycles made in Czechoslovakia from about 1951, see Wikipedia. This agrees with the design of the frame in your bicycle, much different from bikes made in 1932. Details like brakes. seat stays, chain-wheels are modern, not of a 1932 bike. That does not matter very much , but why create a a fake rust with brown mud? Also, if the bike had been really abandoned , as you suggest, the first thing that would be missing is the tire pump, yet it is there, in spite of the many years in the woods. Not very likely, indeed.

Let me explain to you, because something is manufactured in 1932 does not mean it was never ridden since 1932. It does not mean it was abandoned in 1932. It means it was manufactured in 1932. Just because it might be made in 1952, does not mean it was never ridden. The bike was probably very well taken care of throughout that time, even 10 years ago would show the same rust. Czechoslovakia (which does not exist now) was an Eastern Bloc country and Communist, the bicycle would have been recycled many times because Eastern Europeans could not afford getting rid of something if they could fix it. The fact is, this is a bicycle that was manufactured in a time frame past and is no longer being manufactured. It was manufactured to be ridden. Ridden for how long we do not know, but parts sometimes need replaced and sometimes it needs repainted from time to time. It's like you think it was made and then hung up never to be ridden.

@@Highlordratick Can you tell me how long paint sticks on metal without it never needing to be repainted? And can you also tell me if parts never wear out and need to be replaced? The chain alone was probably changed 50 times since it was made, that is the nature of bicycles.

Oh, and another thing, the manufacture of the bicycle could have been 1922, the only thing that changed was the brand name. Read whole articles. The brand name does not make it a new bicycle.

I have 2 Favorit bikes. Frame from video is really from Favorit :) but restoration is one big mistake :D

Велик явно не 32 года, хотя по состоянию, его жизнь потрепала, тонна тупых косяков при сборке, с одной стороны одна колодка, с другой другая, также например надо спицы откручивать от обода, а не отрезать, да нужен специальный ключ, но это лучше будет, тонна мелких мелочей, мз за которых оно выглядит всрато как то

People need to read titles more often. The title does not say it was abandoned, it says it was manufactured in 1932. And that means it could have very possibly been taken very good care of for a long time, because even a year out in the weather will rust it. New paint makes it not look old? So, that means they repainted it several times over the years.

Geesh, some people just are not fully on their game. Painted metal was notorious for flaking so things metal were repainted many times. And that is not mud, it is clay. And that means that it could have been dropped there a year ago, that does not mean it was not manufactured a long time ago. It does not mean the parts over time never had to be replaced because even Huffy made 30 years ago, parts are replaced and they are repainted. Newer paint simply means newer paint, it does not mean newer bicycle.

That was mostly a good restoration, but it needs to be torn down again to paint the whole frame! Not painting the bottom of it ruins the resto!
