Redhead tapped for hydraulics. My solid axle thanked me for it.

I just redone the front of my 98 Sierra from steering wheel to rims, I installed a RedHead gearbox & installed a Cunningham custom steering shaft. It wasn’t cheap but well worth it. The Cunningham steering shaft has u-joints instead of a rag joint & really tightens up your steering! Great video , your channel & Trucks & Water really inspired me!!

While the engine is out, replace the engine mount inserts with Energy Suspension engine mount inserts. Also, replace the front seal behind the transmission torque converter. Thats what I did.

I just did an engine swap in my 1997 Z71, I went with a reman and I wasn’t that impressed with my steering gear. I did my swap the last three weekends of July

Don't let that four hi-mod wiring taught you😂 while it's there would rewire all that so that it's good those clips get corroded and it'll quit working.

I would not do the remanufactured steering box. I would definitely go with the redhead. I went with a remanufactured gear box and it was the biggest mistake. It didn't even last 6 months and it was leaking again. I learned my lesson, I will never do that again.
