I literally was thinking about this today. I'm so happy someone's got this thing modded and is now fully functional!

Will this ride on the standard lego train tracks?
@tk5800thesecond Жыл бұрын
from the looks of the video the wheels are 8 studs wide. regular lego track is 6 studs wide. so currently no. unless you narrowed the wheels then maybe

The scale is just inherently wrong for minifigures.

It actually isn't lol

@mandyward5372 Uh, yes, it definitely, definitely is. I've modeled hundreds of locomotives and cars. The closest proper scale for Lego minifigures is roughly 1/48. The Hogwarts Express CE is about 1/25. There are photos out there all over the web of people standing the next to the Olton Hall - most men are head-and-shoulders past the running boards when standing at rail height. Put a minifigure next to the Hogwarts Express, CE - the wheels alone are almost twice as tall as them. That is NOT to scale.

@@princessofthecape2078 yes it is actually obviously you don't know anything about British trains
@johnrussell5592 Жыл бұрын
If only humans and minifigures were comparably scaled, so that would back you up. But they aren't. There's a reason they are called minifigures. While they are now used for every thing, they were originally used as figures for children, alongside figures twice the size scaled as adults. But this made scaling for multiple size figures difficult, and sets with adult figures expensive, so the larger figures were phased out.

@@johnrussell5592 That's nice. The train in no way matches the established scale that most of us build in. And you can't refute that.
