This channel is now soo good, that it's bad. Jumping the shark, you name it, somewhere in the past two years something changed, and I do not find this channel enjoyable, or useful anymore. It might be my way of saying Robert did a better, raw, human, job, than this polished exceptional ad, because it is more of an ad, of the channel, or of the car, of the presenter, fashion line... than is a useful thing to watch. Robert was undoubtedly cringe sometimes, really didn't take himself too seriously, but that made him one of us, a person, and I miss that. Buy the fob and spare yourself the locking phone car-key hassle. If you aren't in a rush, wait for the updated one slated for 2025. Seats are wonderfully comfortable. @t1n44448 ай бұрын
One wonders if manufacturers are shy on promoting the V2"anything" nonsense on the grounds the batteries get a kicking supplying a domestic load which impinges on the range. Most people are aware that the "advertised" range is something of a myth on the simple grounds nobody, repeat nobody, drives in the same way as anyone else and the stonking acceleration of some vehicles would become addictive. It would for me. Plus a manufacturer has no way of knowing how many passengers, the terrain, whether the regenerative braking would be selected or not, etc, etc. To read that a battery can gain sufficient charge in "ten minutes" to provide power for a "defined" range is laughable. It's also laughable how many battery huggers buy into some arrant nonsense, especially as many (most?) of them will never, ever find out for themselves yet will happily discuss all this trivia as if they truly understood the science. I wonder too if all this talk of governments being "persuaded" to offer subsidies for "anything" means that some people, via their taxes in any form, are going to pay for stuff they might not care for. When hydrogen becomes the fuel of choice and necessity, and it will, many battery huggers will be quite cross when HMG stumps up for our section of the European Hydrogen Backbone (Google is your friend) and offer subsidies for boiler replacements and infrastructure. Battery huggers might do well to recall that the idea of going green is to reduce CO2, try, rept try, to reduce the rate of global temperature rise so the ice sheets and caps don't melt and inundated where we live by next week. Not so much of "forget the cost" but "see the dry land". Plenty of disturbing info on how coastal cities will form part of the new sea bed. And if you feel the refugee problem is bad now, then wait until the planet's islands disappear beneath the waves ... And all because of the battery huggers ignorance of how much CO2 is produced in the manufacture of batteries. Hope that helps.

Audi Germany are showing a lot more information on this than the UK website. For instance it shows colour and wheel options but unfortunately I would like to know roughly what the Edition 1 spec costs above the base model price. The Edition 1 model includes 21" alloys with red break calipers, passenger screen, matrix signature lights and a proactive passenger protection system to the front, side and rear of the car, and a painted front grill. It also shows the Edition 1 model is available in two colour choices, magnet grey and ascari blue. On the base model it appears you get leather heated seats to the front and rear as standard, a heated steering wheel, B&O 3D sound system (with speakers in all headrests) plus the augmented head up display. It also seems there is an S Line trim between the base and Edition 1 versions. I've also read that sales will begin in the UK from April 30th and I'd expect deliveries in the autumn.

How or why did Audi manage to make their most futuristic car on a bespoke platform look more dated and conservative than previous models? Audi design was always about confident sharp panel boundaries and angles, but there's none of that here. From every pretty much every angle of this looks melty, blunt and unconfident. I get that a lot of this EV architecture requires a different approach because of the mass, but from the German manufactures it seems only the Taycan that's presented a design that people 'want' to be seen in,, with a design that clearly aims to show it's the leading edge of the brand's technology and image.

Way too much screen and not enough real buttons. I wish they'd stop with that dumb trend.

impressive charging speed!
@t1n44448 ай бұрын
On paper at least. In the real world, as one says, it's the number of charging stations that matter. Imagine the waste of time having to queue for days and nights to get connected to a working charger, in the winter, when the domestic load takes priority. Vast storage batteries aren't necessarily going to help as they too are discharging in order to service said domestic load. Electricity supplies to domestic users to keep the circulatory pumps for gas fired c/h boilers, and not forgetting the logic boards.

Teslas already charge at 250kw and there are 400v stations already capable of 350kw (even though few cars can accommodate this). 800v chargers are rare as Hen's teeth but that might improve.

@@ouethojlkjn A tad brutal on the batteries, especially if Teslas are driven to their potential (groan).

@@ouethojlkjn I'll take that as a positive then. Terminal groans, off.

Nice Vid, Thanks, but can you please remember that most of us cant charge at home, so range is really important, we need more cars like this with a range over 350 miles so we only have to visit a fast charger once a week and not daily.

You're half right. Some Americans are the same as everyone else, some are different. Everyone has different opinions in the comments section on a subject on an video, in this case, the Audi Q6 e-tron.

Stop putting charge cables under the boot floor! OK, this small panel is a step forward - but stick them in the sides in nets like in the Leaf - it makes SO much more sense!

Love this review! Such a holistic review with technical insights and also descriptions. Helped me understand a lot more about this car and love the P = IV highschool physics reminder 😅

Imagine you bought it. Week later you need to sell it. How much guess you will get for it? You will get, - right, - crazy depreciation.

yes, programmable lights are somewhat of a gimmick - but what I would do with it is to switch the indicator, to either to a simple on-off, or if it has to pulse, then it would come on then pulse off. call me picky, if you must, but that's how indicators should work! But, apart from this, it's the only pointless bit of style for style sake about this car - and that's a good thing! It is nice to see a car manufacturer spending the development time and budget on things that matter. that way you don't mind paying the price tag
