Hello, very nice video, I just found your channel. I really enjoy discovering fellow Pennsylvania nature enthusiasts. Fulshaw Craig is a gem in Montgomery County, I believe that it has been said it contains the highest biodiversity in the county. Tons of wildflowers in Spring and lots of other goodies back there. I was going to ask you how to access the boulder field but I figured it out from your trail description at the end . If you like Boulder fields in south east PA you should check out Stony Garden in sgl 157 above Noxamixon. It's much less well known then the famous Ringing Rocks County Park - but the rocks there also ring and there are multiple huge fields there. Looking forward to future videos, happy hiking.

@@WALTERZOLNA I didn't know that about the high biodiversity! I saw a lady doing a study on the goldenrod there. I'd love to have her job. I will definitely be checking out the boulders at Noxamixen when I get a chance

I'm from the UK and we have many great bands. New Order are my favourite band of the last 40+ years. Check out Elbow - they make interesting music and the lead singer is a poet. He paints landscapes with words like no other (at least to my ears). Six words by Elbow is achingly beautiful; especially if an incurable romantic. I couldn't click this video quick enough, having come off a twelve hour shift doing security in a concrete jungle. These places you share with us are beautiful and your enthusiasm for nature is infectious. Please never stop making these videos!

That boulder field was pretty cool, amazing what those glaciers did. There's a place up here called Campbell's Ledge, the glaciers ripped half of the mountain face off..if you go up there and look at the rock, you can see the striations on the rock from the glaciers sliding over them. There's also bigger rocks along the Susquehanna River downstream from there that you can tell were pieces of that mountain long ago. Thanks for the tour of that place..👍

Ohh neat, you’re in my old neighborhood again. That area we always called “The Ridge”. Pretty wild area for mont. county. There’s a private summer camp around the corner from there that hosted Philadelphia eagles pre season trials a few times, late 70’s early 80’s. Love to see beavers in there. There were none there when I lived down that way. So great to see you get your kids out doors! They’ll be Creekwalkers too. Music? Well, you might know of this already, but Tame Impala has some alternative rock that I dig. “Half full glass of wine”, Remember Me” and “sundown syndrome” and there’s a young local band from Scranton called Burn the Jukebox that’s starting to make waves. They are only 17 but have a 90’s rock sound. WNEP featured them on air last week. Good musicians too. “Homesick” is good and so is “sugarcoat”. Maybe you’ll like. Have fun!

We live in Indiana. We are always going on adventures in new parks/wilderness areas to explore off trail. I wish I had the botany knowledge you have (mushrooms always freak me out lol). I'm a former arborist, so I know trees, but terrible with all the greenery on the ground. I have this desire to learn everything I can, especially about edible plants/herbs, so I can teach my daughter (12). Your videos are REAL and great!

Your music recommendations are letting me know there is a world of recent alt rock out there I know nothing of Once knew alt rock, back in the 90s. But have not followed the genre lately. I have listened to some odd songs today, one, found an old old old song called One Meatball about a what happens to a man having only enough money at a restaurant for a single meatball. This is unusual, more often something electronic type genre music is the choice here..

I watched an interesting video about ancient stone work in the north east. I'm sure it's pretty easy to find on YT. I know the rocks are natural but the first "cave" you show could possibly be a Dolman. These were intentionally moved by natives. The openings underneath were used in rituals somehow. I'm not saying that it is for sure but I knew as soon as you started filming there natives loved that place as much as you did and visited there forever, also if you can ever find the video, you will be amazed at the similarities in there and the areas it is filmed at. Check it out then if you are there again sometime it may give you another perspective,. Lol at the face when you say "it's starting to rain" and HOW do beavers chew through a blue beech? That is the one of the hardest woods I've ever worked with.
@PACreekWalkerАй бұрын
@jeffphillips73 Seriously! I grabbed a beaver chew stick and kept telling everyone that if anyone tried to attack us, I'd beat their ass with it. I felt pretty safe. Is blue beach the same as ironwood?
