FUMES in the COCKPIT | Alaska Airlines NORDO and Emergency Return to KLAX [ATC Audio]

KLAX - Los Angeles, CA
An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900 was enroute to KSEA via KLAX when around 26,000ft declared an emergency and returned to KLAX for reported fumes in the flight deck. While on approach they briefly became NORDO (no radio) with multiple attempts to contact the crew from Socal Tracon and KLAX ATCT going unanswered. Communications were eventually reestablished while on the downwind leg.
