I remember driving my car whilst listening to Gilles one Saturday afternoon. This track made me stop in a layby. So utterly beautiful.

This song is only 13 minutes but it took me an hour to get to the end. What a crisp and magnificent sound!

This is a live-recording of the special concert associated with "YOKOHAMA JAZZ PROMENADE″, one of the biggest jazz concerts in Japan, held every October. I missed it, but watched it on TV. Itabashi played some tunes very well and restrainedly by a trio, like a standard number CHELSEA BRIDGE, before playing ‘WATARASE’. I really want the video of this full performance. I try to translate lyrics into English.
