I watched the star lights season in Japanese with subtiles in English when I was 11.. I watched it so much that I learned a lot a word. It's easy in that anime because it's very emotional. If you have the chance to do it try. I sweared you'll be able to recognize a lot of word 🙂

On Scribd there's a lot of Japanese textbooks (2 of which I am using now) and they're quite helpful and free. Teehee. If you want I can recommend some to you! Of course, if you want to go on your own, I wish you the best of luck, too!! (Oh, hehe, and watching anime with subtitles after learning the basics strengthens your foundation too. Lol.) HAVE FUN!
