Hahaha, the laugh when you did the first run in the sandpit 🤩 That was genuin.... and yes, for swedish trails like this, the AJP looks like a much better bike than the 690. Mostly because the way it is built and the vision behind the bike. The spec In the end is quite important in a test like this I think. It put's some perspective on stuff... but with that said, doing longer adventures or raid it down to Spain, then we talk about the quality in a larger adv bike 🤣 Great video Tjommi.... damn I wish I was there. So much great video could be made 🔥
@Braapncamp2 жыл бұрын
A videomaking paradise Tjommi! Rob @Nomad Sweden did an excellent coverage with his eyes for it. Ofc it all depends on wich routs is chosen for the adventure, that sets the scenes for which tool is best or does it. Looking at RTW Paul and how he travels, this is a ready from factory option for the harder travel routes. Man how tired i got in that sandpit, event if I do physical training every week. I can just imagine how I would have performed withoutvthe training 😂😅 I could not even think clear when doing the conclusion with the timeframei had.

What a pity the PR7 never made it. Good power, suspension, lights and tablet display, 50 kg lighter than a T7. Here in Australia, let down by minimal dealerships and some quality niggles. Japan could easily have made this bike and it would be the class leader but absolutely no corporate interest. Stuck with twins, no thanks.

Good points! It seems like the factory's just want to hold us on the edge of our dreams. No doubt that the can do proper single cylinder bikes with descent power and equipped like the PR7. But they give us the 690 to rebuild, those Honda 250/300's and all the nice pigs we are riding 😂. It's like they like to ignore us or just keep us dream. Engineers probably have the will but then we have the Marketing office... cool bike and I liked it alot. Ready from factory and have the specs we are asking for. Hope AJP keeps on and could afford and prove better customer care than f.ex. our big orange supplier of fun. That wind in the end. Never give up improving and fine tune. This was one of the better days lately 💪🙌 Thanks for joining in DKW. P.S. I have not gave up my idea to give You my framing of visiting the Husqvarna town and museum. Maintenance intervals is also what defines an adventure motorcycle. Let's compare oil change and valve settings intervals. In my opinion, oil changes shall not be under within 5,000km, and valves to do in no less than 10,000km, or even 20,000km. And that is why Honda's CRF450, which is a great motorcycle, cannot be adapted as an adventure bike because of its 1,000km oil change interval. It needs a larger capacity sump.

@Braapncamp2 жыл бұрын
Yes i'm aware of that, if I would go on such trips i probably would take an PR7 over my 790R even if the 790 has been all over the place as well. The simplicity and lower weight appeals. But with that said i easily do several 12-14 hour days in a row on rather rough trails as TST on the 790 since it is really comfortable for that kind of riding. The PR7 is definitely on my mind every day after I tested it 👀😁😂

Hi, the question does not arise for very long. I have just done the TET Portugal myself on a T 700 ténéré and my friend on a 690 enduro. There are very difficult technical passages, strong very steep slopes with rock and large pebbles. Deep rivers with gray pebbles at the bottom. I often leave alone and there I ask myself the question and I have the answer... With a big trail you exhaust yourself over 10 difficult days of Offroad, where the AJP PR7 will pass more easily and will be easier to pick up in case of repeated falls. In addition, this motorcycle is ready as soon as you buy it, unlike a 690 or 701 where you have to change the saddle and mount a Rade garage fork crown or other tank to add. You have the answer, take an order form for this AJP PR7 motorcycle
@Braapncamp2 жыл бұрын
