Terry Hall always reminds me of Robert Del Naja from Massive Attack. And Robert Del Naja always reminds me of Terry Hall. There's some visual and aural connective tissue between the two that links them together in my mind, if I can put it rather pretentiously like that. Don't know why exactly. They look a little alike maybe - but it's more to do with a quiet/shy and rather sad/introspective aura that they both give off. There's a painful introversion there that is moving yet also faintly disturbing. All the best songs are sad, I always find. RIP Terry Hall. One of the really good ones.

Its not the materialism, the clothes, the music nor the sunny days of innocent youth we miss. And certainly not the schools. It is the sense that we were safe from the speed of change. Time eased its way around our watches, and they were the only bit of tech we owned. How sad kids today will never experience even a fleeting glance at a world without fear.

1. I was around when this was new, however on this evening, I am just realizing that Terry looks like Randy from the movie, " VALLEY GIRL". 2. This song is brutal when you really pay attention to the lyrics. 3. Terry has this same disdain in one of the SPECIALS song, " much too young". Is this autobiographical? Was it a friend and he is writing from that perspective? 4. Was originally watching a documentary about "MADCHESTER", then watched six Curve videos, then Madness, "wings of a dove " and now here. 5. The wine tonight is a Granchce from Spain.
