Vanakkam! The opening fight reminded opening fight sequence of Gladiator, the scenes between Vikram and Vikram Prabhu, the sea shore fight in Sri Lanka reminded of Troy, the scene where Karthi was alone in the sea reminded of Life of Pai, the rescue scenes of Oomai Rani reminded of The Lord of the Rings. the fight sequence of Karthi at the Fort reminded of The Scorpion King. Apart from these things the characterization is well handled. The cinematography and the lighting is enjoyable. The costumes and the use of jewelry takes the audience to the time. Sure there will be orders pouring into many jewelry shops at least in Tamilnadu. All the characters are well portrayed by the seasoned artists of our film industry. The background music and the songs are delivered well by A R Rahman. Well choreographed dances by Brindha. Lovely lines by the lyricists. The sets are designed as close to reality by Thotta Tharani. @@imkrishnaa should've spoke in English but they would've thought tamizhans and kannadigas are culturally not completely different. It would be easy for kannadigas to understand tamil and vice versa. Even I myself a tamizhan who could understand a bit of kannada if I listen carefully.
