Horse makerel is a great fighter, especially when they are big. This year I went there ready and only once fish managed to brake my line. 0.4 varivas light game and 0.25 leader toray did great job for me and the drag and the power of that exist is simply out of this world. Gives you great control over the fish and the feeling you will be the winner at the end of this fight.

I couldn't catch anything from the shore like you did, only from the rocky parts of of the shore I've found some luck. (Turkiye, just across the sea from where you're at). Nice fishing!

I always go before sunrise. I haven't tried midday or evening because it is too hot 😀
