I hear you about the grandmothers! I think it's the desire to have someone take care of YOU when you're in the thick of caring for others. The care of a spouse or parent isn't the same. You know grandma would sit you down in her cozy familiar kitchen and make your favorite foods and the thought of that is so overwhelmingly appealing when you're in the thick of caring for babies ❤😢

Grief is a weird thing. It’s been 4 years but I miss my grandparents so so much. Gosh, I can’t believe how terrible Alzheimer’s is, what a horrible illness. I’m so very sorry. I’m sure you know that grief comes in waves and there’s no rhyme or reason to any of it really. My sweet husband passed away unexpectedly 16 months ago. There are moments where I forget that this is real and expect him home at the end of the day, and then it breaks me again. Your videos have always been a comfort to me. Thank you for sharing your life❤ so happy to see you all living it to the fullest!

Grief is so tough and there are so many different types. My grandpa has lost me (and one of my grandmothers is probably not far behind) so I found your comments relatable. I’d recommend the book “And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer”. It’s a quick read, but have the tissues ready.

Blair, I love your videos! I watch every upload. Love your updates lately on home decor. I have purchased so many of your amazon picks, clothing and jewelry, as we have the same taste and style. The way you tackle household tasks inspires me and gives me motivation to do the same. Thanks for sharing about your grandmothers. I was so close to my only grandmother, my maternal - Nana. I lost her when I was 19. She has been gone for 28 years and I still grieve her loss. The pandemic created so much unnecessary trauma for all of us. I almost missed being with my dog when he passed away in 2020 because I couldn’t go into the emergency vet with him. I’m sorry that happened to you. Big hugs! ❤

My grandmother passed in spring of this year. I was lucky enough to have her with me for 33 years, and she left me with wonderful memories of our time together, and a beautiful afghan that she knitted for all the grandchildren before her arthritis got worse for their weddings. I still get teary when I look at it folded on the couch and it is approaching blanket weather here, so I fully expect to be an emotional mess whenever I snuggle up in it this year.

Yay 👏 comments are back!! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your beautiful life! I teared up during your chat about grandmothers.. I remember seeing your grandmother during your travel vlogs. So precious to have those video memories. I understand what you mean about how your grandma is not herself anymore. I pray her end of life transition goes smoothly when it does happen, since it must be tough to not know who you are anymore. ❤❤❤

I’m so glad to be able to comment on your videos! I watch every upload and have been for years! I’ve lost all four of my grandparents! It’s been so strange not having them in my life anymore. The hole they leave cannot be filled. No one else can make you feel as genuinely special as a grandparent, especially grandmothers! It helps when I can talk about them with my kids and my siblings and carry on their memories! ❤️

Aww, I'm so sorry you've lost your grandparents. The grandparent/grandchild relationship is so special and unique. Just like you said, losing them to death or illness truly leaves an irreparable hole. Sending love to you.

I totally get how you feel about seeing your grandma for the last time. I went through the same thing in 2020 with my dad. He was in a nursing home and we weren't allowed to step foot in the building. He was too confused to talk on the phone. During that time he got covid and died eight days later. I never saw him the last six weeks of his life. As a nurse for 38 years, I begged them to let me see him, promising to get in the isolation gear. I think about it daily and have so much guilt about it. Just remember, we will both see them in heaven one day where they suffer no more💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏

I lost my Papa almost 14 years ago and it still hits me from time to time. Especially when I realize he never got to meet my husband or my daughter. Most often I think of him when I hear a diesel vehicle idling, he had a huge truck to tow his travel trailer.

How sweet that you think of him when you hear that sound. 💜

Alzheimers is a horrible disease. It's devastating to watch someone you love forget who they are and forget who you are and how devastating that is for everyone. It's truly a gut wrenching disease. We lost my grandma to Alzheimers and it was awful. I'm sorry you are going through that. It's a hard thing to walk through. Parkinson's is another one. I lost my dad earlier this year to Parkinson's and that disease is just devastating as well. Growing up and watching your parents and grandparents who you thought were invincible as a child, become vulnerable and succumb to the reality of aging is painful.

Grief is a funny thing. I lost my uncle, a firefighter, in 2020 and we recently celebrated his life as his name was added to a fallen firefighters memorial. Even 3 years later it still hits me hard some days.

I know nothing about KZbin analytics, but I’ve been curious about if it matters if I click on a video via the “home” page vs if I click on a video under the subscription tab. Will the analytics recognize that I am a subscriber of a particular channel if I click on the home page version of the video rather than the subscription page?
@BlairLamb Жыл бұрын
I'm no expert, but I don't believe it matters either way as your account and subscription are linked!
