you ever ride the less DH oriented 'flatter' techy trails with all the rocks on this enduro bike? Thinking of getting a 170/160mm travel bike with a slack headtube angle but im thinking it might be horrible on non-DH type stuff

Yeah I ride the Nomad for everything. It pedals well and is fairly light for a large travel bike. It really depends on the bike suspension type. I find Santa Cruz has it pretty dialed. I do have a 160/150 Specialized Stumpjumper Evo and that’s great for flat trails and DH.
