I think the reason it might be ignoring your commands is because it's probably detecting something else the way you're saying your words. So you may have to mimic the North American accent , because some speech to text softwares I think the older ones and it happens with the new ones too will try and pick up or match different commands so it does not really work well with heavy accents . I'm just giving you advice on what I experienced so I don't know if it would be factually correct or not
