I love the art history included in your videos! Something anyone can use to get creative+ a doorway to fine arts & art history & curiosity about more. Awesome! ❤😁 Thanks for making all these. I'm a landscape painter in oils but I'm going to go get a brayer & replace my old acrylics & take a look at those gel presses. 😁 It keeps the creative muscles flexible to change things up and try new things! I thought I'd need metal plates, asphaltum, etching tools, acid baths... or etc, to try printing!

@@MarkMontanoMakeYourMark I find it more forgiving for painting scenes than acrylics. My artist's acrylics became craft materials, lol. There's a PBS series in free videos online, "Landscapes Through Time," with David Dunlop, that is very inspiring & shows the best techniques. My grandma was a successful landscape painter & watching David Dunlop I became aware of why I was doing what I was doing bc he shows very clearly without complicating things, but simplifying them, into a comfortable & conscious act. There are many instruction videos that are good. His I believe are the best. & His technique shown is that of masters. It's also easiest, though! Anyone with an eye for design & a creative urge can make great art. It's just a matter of seeing how it's done, practicing a little, & remembering, "an expert in anything was once a beginner." And, that elegance is simple, know when you're done, don't keep fussing over a work when it is really finished. Let the eye of the beholder do a little bit of the work bc photo realism is less relaxing to the eye than something "painterly," that isn't too TOO perfect. It's very relaxing. That's why art therapy exists. I've watched a few of your videos. You have the creative muscle & the eye. If it interests you, I'm sure you have the gift. I began by making ornaments growing up, inspired by an ornament store & being awed by a tiny Anna Lee mouse in a Santa hat, lol. & 2D & 3D design are the foundation. You already have that down! Thanks for your videos! They're great fun! And it is very healthy for people to make things & flex that creative mind! You're doing a great service. What an epic & inspiring career choice! Good for you! 😁❤️& A respectful nod at the companies that support that, wisely finding an inspiring spokesman for using the tools & materials too. Too many people get in a rut, a hamster wheel, & creativity is freeing!

Mark! You know I LOVE these gel press videos! I finally broke down at Christmas and used your link to get one! Would you consider making a gel press playlist? I could make my own but then not all your subscribers would necessarily be able to see it. I'm also loving all the content on your Patreon page and the latest free item is GREAT! I think I may be decorating the backs of the cards with some gel press painting! Much love, L
