Kcmo is mostly detached single family homes and suburban sprawl with low density; more so than Overland Park and Lenexa. And over 50% of the metro areas office space is in Johnson county Kansas. Johnson county Kansas is the most densely populated and wealthiest county with over 613,000 people. Johnson county’s median household income is 96,059$ and kcmos is 60,042$. Theres more people living within 5 miles of downtown Overland Park than within 5 miles of downtown kcmo. Johnson county Kansas GDP is higher than Jackson County Missouri. There has been decades of white flight and urban decay from Kansas City Missouri. Kcmo has a big crime problem too..

That description fits most metro areas in the US. Kansas City MO has crime problems, but by and large it is safe for the average resident or visitor

@@fenian123 no it doesn’t all the jobs and money have gone to the southwest corner. Most larger cities have a lower percentage of detached family homes than their surrounding cities. KC is probably the least centralized city on earth except for Detroit

@@iknowdeweybrudda6564 "all the jobs and money have gone to the southwest corner" That is simply not true, Kansas City's downtown south to Martin City is very economically vibrant with stable neighborhoods and a lot of high end real estate, and you completely dismiss the Northland. Yes, there are serious problems on the Eastside, there has been for a long time, I don't deny it. You make it sound like Kansas City, Missouri is dead and that is simply not true.
