It must've been a glitch with AS16. It appears that the wind just stopped, therefore leaving u at like 400kts IAS and causing the plane to start going up very quickly.

And then the wind came back up, but at this stage he had already slowed like 100kts, so the plane stalled.

So basically if he had kept his speed he would be fine, but the autothrottle slowed you. If this glitch ever happens to you again just disconnect the Autothrottle and A/P and try to keep the speed and the aircraft level.
