Join me for a fun afternoon as I go panfishing with my ultralight rod loaded with 2 pound monafilament. Afterward we head to mom and dad's for a delcious fish fry.

Bluegill is one of my favorite fish to eat. Just cooks up so nice!

We did try to tell you that you’re drifting into the branches, but you weren’t listening 😂. That’s funny cause I never battered a fish without egg wash. Fun vid, Matt!

Always fun catching those gills. Tasty too. I usually fillet them, then flour first, then egg wash, then breadcrumbs.

Ah, flour, then egg wash! I'm going to try that next video. Can't wait!

I REALLY appreciate the shout out, Matt. I'm glad you enjoyed the egg wash version. It's definitely tastier that way, however I tried it without the egg wash the other day (Drakes only) and that was still pretty good as well. It's definitely more messy with the egg wash and it sticks to your hands more, so if I need to fry them up really fast, sans egg wash is still an option I'll use. I haven't tried bluegill with the skin on yet. But I want to give it a go. I just need to find a good way to SCALE them. I've never tried the Gulp! Minnow but I probably will now after your video. I've used other Gulp! products before for ice fishing and those worked, too. I'm glad the fish were still there. Great video, Matt!

Never used egg wash. Just dip bluegill fillets only in a flour corn meal mix with a little salt and pepper into my Grandpappy deep fryer. This is AFTER I cook my hushpuppies in the peanut oil first! Eat and enjoy!

I don’t egg wash usually just because it’s messy and it usually falls off
