We had to put our Molly Girl down 2 weeks ago, she was our love and joy for almost 16 years. Was so hard to have to do this, but she’s not suffering anymore and that brought peace of mind. She was a rescue dog also from Georgia. Thank you for showing Sherman, he’s beautiful. Great video as always, dresser looks amazing!!

Actually the platter is for a roast or chicken. Pork roast,beef roast, or whole chicken to cook in the oven. The drippings gather in the grooves.

Nicole, you missed some Wedgwood at 3:17!Those cream colored saucers with the bouquet of flowers in the center are the Conway pattern. They were never sold in the U S, but my mother collected them during the war in Canada. Her family was from Boston and used to vacation for a week every summer at a small hotel on a lake in Quebec. It makes sense that those saucers made their way to Minnesota. I smiled when I saw them. I have my mother’s collection and have been lucky enough to add to it over the years. But my son isn’t interested in any of my very large collection of antique and vintage china and furnishings, so I have a booth in an antique shop in Brenham, Texas, The Blue Hydrangea. When I was 12 I decided I wanted to be an antique dealer, but God had other plans. It only took 60 years for my prayer to be answered, but it was worth the wait. The dresser looks fabulous Nicole, I love it. As stated the plate was for steak to allow the juices to collect when resting before cutting it. I use mine to rest all our meats before carving, very useful.

I use bridge sheets in my junk journals too. They often have good images on the cover. Sometimes I find them in a set with decorative playing cards; I am using one with two packs, each with a different rose image on the backs of the cards.

What a great haul Nicole! First of all I just have to say your earrings and new ring are darling and just perfect for summer accessories! You are right about the Corning Ware dish, it is for drippings. It's even a great dish for getting burgers or hot dogs off the grill. I actually got one, I think around January, at Round Rock (TX) Antique Mall, from a booth that was closing...I paid $12 because I didn't think I would find if for a better price...You got yours for a true Bargain! I have a lot of Cornflower Blue Corning Ware and I love using it so I'm always on the lookout. Again, great haul and Sherman is just adorable. Have a great week! ~0-0~ Pam

That is a roast and ham platter and the grooves are for the juices. They also make them in both steel and aluminum. My mom used her hammered aluminum one for big company dinners. It was hard to store so I got rif of hers long ago.
