Some nice hoists geda do have people hoist in that model geda 500zzp but will travel at hafe speed when carrying people You should off spun the hoist around up at the level The orange Wickham hoist is my favourite was British made and very well built

It would be cool if there was a system for buildings with open areas like shopping centers for if the main elevators/lifts break down then they could bring in like a temporary one on wheels with ramps to get in and stuff and then just connect it to the buildings power supply then they are set to go

I doubt that would be possible with health and safety. There would have to be a place for the lift to be located, so I don't know how that would work with the railings on the upper level being in the way. And the lift would have to be ticked off by insurance, which wouldn't be possible for a lift on wheels to be moved to a new location and then have members of the public using it unattended without having to be inspected first. Maybe it would be possible for this to happen if there was always a member of staff in the lift to operate it, but the cost of human labor is too expensive in the modern day for this to happen. That setup would far outweigh the cost of simply paying for a gold lift contact where the lift is fixed as fast as possible at the expense of the lift company. But there is another solution that is sometimes used, which is temporary lifts. These are usually climbing lifts, like an Alimak, which can be installed in a couple of days. I have seen these used on temporary foot bridges, and in shopping centers where major works involve rebuilding a lift shaft, which would take a couple of months.
