Watching this gives me the chills. This is a deeply trauma-bonded relationship. Reminds me of me and my EX. I always defended him to family and friends even after he physically abused me. I think I was trying to convince myself it could work because it was his disorder , not the man I loved, that was making him do the things he did and that I had to be more understanding. He was my everything. My best friend, lover and no one understood me like he did. Things continued getting worse until I had no choice but to extricate myself from the imploding relationship and cut him out of my life after 17yrs of being with each other. He was killing my soul, putting my life in danger, lying to me, controlling me, manipulating, coorcing, cheating and in extreme denial of any problems. Looking back, I very well could have been removed in a body bag. Ladies, don't ignore the red flags. Learn to spot them before it's too late. 🙏😢

I don’t think Barbara believed Givens at all. Givens contradicted herself so many times during that interview and anyone could see she was just lying. Givens knew from start Mike was anti drug so her excuse to get out with all that money was he take drugs or she’s leaving. Mike isn’t dumb, that’s why he let her leave and take her lil 10m. Mike knew she didn’t love him but he was looking for love and just accepted it. Mike had already gave his side to Walter’s (that’s why Walters interviewed him first) so he didn’t have to say anything or defend himself. Mike is no dummy. Hopefully her and her diabolical mother get exactly what they both deserve if they haven’t already.
