Does the ‘therapeutic grip’ relieve all weight of the head from the neck? Also is the patient supposed to completely rest the forehead on tye therapist’s inner elbow or chest for example?

Hello sir is there any other method to hold the head??
@PhysioClassroom4 жыл бұрын
Hello Vikash, Thanks for being a Physioclassroom member 😊 I believe more than the technique, it is the concept of TREATMENT that should be emphasized upon. By knowing the concept, one cas easily design his/ her own Treatment techniques. Cradeling the head enables the therapist to provide adequate support and ensures relaxation of the tensed soft tissues. Making the patient lying prone on a 5 part Treatment table can also be an excellent way of releasing soft tissue tension. ( Cervical section can move up and down during the release technique). Rest you have to be innovative to design your own method of treatment. 😊 Do share our channel videos with your contacts and help us in reaching out to maximum people 😊 Feel free to discuss further. Your comments and queries will always be our priority

Sir could you please explain the principle and physiology behind functional release technique so that we can know the basics about it
@PhysioClassroom Жыл бұрын
The technique is the combination of trigger point therapy and myofascial release with the intention to release the taut bands in the muscles and thereby reducing pain and restoring ROM / flexibility. The only difference is that the joint over which the muscle acts is moved as the tissue is being released by the therapist. Read the above two approaches and the concept of FRT will become clear to you Thanks for watching Physioclassroom 💕
