What is the Young equation we use to calculate contact angles on ideal surfaces and where does it come from? What is contact angle hysteresis and how do we measure it? How does Young's equation change for non-ideal surfaces?
In this third and final part of section 2 we answer these questions, as well as looking at the extreme cases of wetting for 'super' surfaces and examining glass and PTFE to explain their behaviours with water.
This video is designed for ages 18+ (Undergraduate level).
