Such a wealth of knowledge, love it! Neat with the flangemold on the table, have to try that.

As much as I enjoy watching, learning, and quite frankly, being amazed by your technical knowledge and building techniques and skills, I will be excited to see Paikea when she is done and your family out sailing and enjoying the fruits of your hard work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community.

We used Ikea Trofast kids plastic slide out bins in this sort of application to store the daughter's clothes. Very light and easily replaceable. I've used 4mil / 0.1mm thick builder's plastic (drop cloth) as bag material when not able to get good bagging material. Some are even puncture free when new :) Nice to show how you made the carbon martingale. As always I learn something new. Now I wish our saloon table had a Teflon top instead of a wood veneer!

We looked at a couple of IKEA options. Unfortunately, the space under the bunk is not that deep. Anna was going to make cloth shelves to allow airflow and we may still go down that route. Still looking at ideas there. Haha! And yes, the garden/hardware store can be a good spot for vac bagging supplies. I have been know to get vac bags and breather felts from there in a pinch. *warning* results do vary 😆 Highly recommend you get some sticky back Teflon for your saloon table. You will be as popular with the wife as I am 😇🤣

That was interesting. I liked the explanation of vacuum bagging material. Do you know any good designers who might be interested in designing new davits and stern section of the bridge deck?

For your boat Dana? If you are not in a hurry I could look at it for you. I've committed the next 4-5 months to finishing off Paikea
