Guys if 4.1 is confusing use the other method that he talked about,in this specific case f(x)=-2/x-2 + 3/1 =-2(1) +3(x-2) ------------------- x-2 =-2 +3x -6 --------------- x-2 = 3x - 8 ---------- x-2

So 4.1 you have to first calculate using the formula of a negative gradient which is - x+c, the answer will always be - x +something, you have to calculate what c is so you sub points on the graph into x and y, remember u use the formula y=mx+c to find the equation of a straight line. This straight line is a negative gradient so u use - x+c. With these equations you just have to find the value of c and ur answer will be y=-x+5
