So profound, this actually suggests that can optimize the way we think about problems not just the problem and it's solution.

Hi there, awesome video. To be clear, the letters used in this video are used as stand-ins for simple statements, yes? Thank you, Are there any other great resources for learning logic?

Yes that is correct. Sorry about the delay. I have also used TrevTutor and Attic Philosophy as good KZbin resources

Is this deductive or inductive logic or both?
@adamprance94562 жыл бұрын
Hi, it is mostly deduction (or natural deduction). You can use many of the same techniques for induction, but your premises are less certain. This series is being updated if you check our latest uploads. :)

"The science of thinking correctly" is a really arrogant and inaccurate way to view the world. The emotions-based thinking most people use is far more important because working along that way of thinking is what actually persuades people and gets you what you want. Logic just makes you a pariah.
@adamprance94563 жыл бұрын
That's a great point and I will concede it would be more correct (strictly) to say that "Logic is the science of thinking correctly, within certain contexts." I am not sure I will go with you all the way to emotive thinking being *far more important* though - but we can certainly see that people people can be made to respond without logic getting involved. Furthermore, I would agree that not every decision needs to be made using logic (i.e. sometimes it is *correct* to not use logic) That said, I will definitely disagree with your last statement. Logic doesn't necessarily make you a pariah, and even if it does, that doesn't make you wrong.
