Usually, staying on the outside is the danger zone when boxing a long armed opponent but i think he should have got inside and then bounced back outside. Owen should have been a little more unpredictable.

I'll be impressed whene he does this in cruiser weight, these little guys that have to punch upwards extending so much energy is one of the logical reasons there should be a hight limit in the spirit of fairness. A. Owens was game and heroic. My goodness. And his adjustment late 2 was really impressive - lotta guys cant adjust anything, and he adjusted basically everything. Tough as nails, too. B. These announcers were really on one. They liked both guys, but seemed convinced that Owens was dominating the infighting, when that's where he lost the fight - and badly. Fundora was in control for almost all the close quarters combat, and landed the majority of the big knocks - those ripping uppercuts defined the fight. He *finished* it out in the open, but that's more about Owens' incredible will and toughness, not the fight. C. Fundora's clench management, is that a term?, is incredible for such a young guy. I feel like a lot of coaches would tell a guy with this kind of height, who can throw such bombs from up high, to try and maintain distance and control things with the jab - but his dad clearly knew that EVERY fighter he went up against was going to try and crowd and go to the body. Fundora battles so well in contact, uses his elbows to maneuver Owens, defends himself well...really old school stuff. Great to see. D. What a lovely fight. Kudos to the ref for respecting Owens enough to let him play it out, and for getting in there before my stomach was turning. Also, great job in realizing the fight was going to be up close, and letting the fighters sort it out.

I think fundora is great hope he works on his defense a bit and gets a bit of that Tyson fury head movement, obviously very hard to replicate the 🐐 but if fundora takes those shots from a harder hitter he's getting ko. Fundora very good at fighting on the inside for a huge guy but I still think he should use his reach a bit better.
