@@GailRubin what is the point of draining the fluid out of the body if you're dead and you're not going anywhere except in the ground or something then and your Frozen anyway when they put you into the into the refrigerator I mean you going to be late in a casket so what does it matter if your body is drained out all the fluid out or not and what happens if they don't bring the flu out of your body can you please tell me this

@@bessieschaedel3890 I worked at a funeral home, so can kind of answer this for you. The point of embalming is to slow down the decomposition & even skin color of the body for viewing purposes. Not all people are put in a freezer. Each state has different laws though.

The embalmer was professional and yet restrained in how she answered certain questions. The interviewer I did not really care for (sorry) with her silly laugh and even sillier comment when stepping inside the refrigeration unit...what did she expect?? Warmth? And her question at the end, "any last words".....really? Trust me, we have heard all the silly questions and jokes! Beautiful facility by the way.

Very impressed with the exhaust system and the new embalming machines. When I was active in the profession, I would embalm with a regular mask; vapors were still able to get through. A very informative tour which is a good tool for those thinking of entering the profession... well done.

We we’re all taught to be respectful to the deceased plus a family or family member would tell us a little bit about their love ones. They like maybe a certain music certain song and certain books. And from time to time they were asked me if I would speak to them which I did like a regular normal living human being. I told him how sorry I was and I hope you will enjoy your life even more and here after. I took very good care within the upmost respect for these people. This may sound a little weird but really it’s not it’s just some things you may never ever hear anyone share. Take care.

I'm glad when I vapor lock in hopefully 30-35 years I will be tossed in the oven. I totally respect people who want to be buried, but filled with chemicals until the end of time is not for me. We were not meant to look great 40 yrs after we take our last breath. We were meant to disappear into the earth once more. But I am very glad there is places like this who will take care of those who wish to be buried.

Embalming usually only preserves the body for a few months max. I however don’t blame you for choosing cremation. I personally don’t care to be viewed in an open casket. I never could get how anyone could find closure in looking at the cold, stiff, oddly shaped, discolored remains of what once was.. It was too traumatizing for me as a kid so I wouldn’t want to subject anyone else to it. I also don’t believe in dumping $10,000+ worth of chemicals and metal in the ground.

I wonder if you have something similar to what a beautician has to sanitize hair brushes and such. Also, a suggestion: instead of having a ROLL of paper towels in the makeup/carpeting room, rather have a electric towel dispenser that at the wave of the hand near the electric eye sensor, automatically dispenses a towel sheet. Many restaurants are gravitating toward these, especially in restrooms.

That's interesting she says embalmed bodies don't need to be refrigerated. My mother passed overnight after i watched her go in the house. I'd just brought her home from Kaiser around 10pm. I found her dead the next day.... Maybe 12 hours later. That was a Sunday. I had her viewing on Friday of that same week. I don't like touching dead bodies but i touched her hands and she was cold, indicating she had been refrigerated

If you don’t know cause of death, how would you know what type of chemicals to use for embalming? Just wondering. I knew if someone that died in their car. No autopsy was done due to cost. Could autopsy been done automatically? Suspicious reasons? 🤔
@GailRubin
@GailRubin 3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the state, if they have an Office of the Medical Investigator or coroner system. If a family wanted an autopsy done, and the local authorities don't do one, there is a service that can be purchased from 1-800-AUTOPSY or PrivateAutopsy.com.

Why do they drain the fluid out of your body what's the purpose of it if you're dead why what does it matter and what happens if they don't drain the fluid out of your body you're going to be frozen anyway when you're in the casket after them taking you out of the refrigerator so what is the point of draining the fluid out of your body
@GailRubin
@GailRubin 2 жыл бұрын
Embalming is done to enable the family to view the body, improve how it looks, and sanitize it. The embalming fluid replaces blood and slows down the process of decomposition.

They ought to put a cap on funeral expenses. That's why nobody can afford to be laid out anymore or have a proper burial because your prices are so high an outrageous not just you funeral homes is a whole I'm not picking on your specific company. In my eyes when you don't have someone laid out you don't get to say goodbye. Most people have a hard time even affording getting cremated and their ashes return to their family which is the most economical way to do it it is just sad lower your prices
